Comments and Reviews from users:

Jeff Zak: “I have two TVs next to each other and need the app to control them since using the remote would control both at the same time. The app turns both on at the same time even if you only press the power button for one. It's extremely slow to connect and completely fails to connect quite often.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Michelle Bennion: “When using the app via mobile, I consistently receive an error to activate and turn on mobile in my general settings, which I've already done on my TV. I've even deleted my pairing history temporarily and re-added my TV back into the app. The app won't allow me to turn on my TV from my mobile phone at all. It's become quite a nuisance. Especially because now it's requesting a new app update to be applied. I'm not keen on applying yet another update when it's not working effectively. 😠👎” – 2/5 in Play Store

James Green: “If in ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT.... Since the update, when my chosen item displays, the picture appears for about .5 of a second and then dissapears, I ordered from Amazon. The general consensus is, "the app is slow and sluggish"; we, who are in the construction business, utilize our cell service-phone about 90% of the time = the more animation and needless junk within the app, the slower the app runs. Please fix and/or, install a "WiFi/Cell" option that will minimize animation w/cell usage.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Kathleen Olivera: “Your website is so hard to search. Especially to people who don't really know what they need. There were way too many things to click on, all I wanted to see some interior bedroom doors. Perhung, solid, paneled, etc. It's just a lot of unnecessary info. Search interior doors and a list of doors you have should have come up. But no....I had to click this, then click that, and then I was so lost.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Matthew Connolly: “I have the media Window AC unit. The unit is perfect and has been working well for over a year now. Recently they updated the app to smart home and it is terrible. The old app Was perfect and worked flawless. The new app disconnects from Alexa, usually once a week. And I have to manually click on the unit and reconnect it. The old app on the phone would instantly allow you to change settings on the A. C unit, the new app takes almost 20 seconds to load to make any changes to the A. C” – 2/5 in Play Store

Jeff Smith: “The instructions that came with unit instructed different app, which auto-upgraded to this app But then using this app wasn't in the instructions. HINT: There's a button to link Google Home in the settings. It works so good so far, its nice to be able to turn off my air conditioner from my smart glasses, anywhere in the world. Will update this as I observe reliability. -2 stars for confusion factor. Edit: dev response does not address issue I had, which was temporary. It's working fine now” – 3/5 in Play Store

Jeneen Roden: “Even though my dishwasher is a GE Profile, the app wouldn't connect to it unless I selected the "GE Appliances". So that was confusing and frustrating. And, I couldn't figure out how to update/change the dishwasher pod inventory. Finally, by accident, I swiped left to scroll over to the correct number, then saved. I set my "Custom" cycle to rinse and was able to start the dishwasher from the app. Very nice!!” – 4/5 in Play Store

Angie B.: “I'm not able to control much from the app. I can't restart the dryer from my phone, which I was hoping to do. Tech support couldn't help. You can "remote start" from your phone, but you have to physically set it up first on the machine. It's just easier to use delay start instead of having to remember to start it from my phone. For these reasons, I dont use the app. The one nice feature is that the app allows it to connect up to Alexa, which notifies me when a cycle completes.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Features Monitor and control your home appliances remotely, receive notifications, and troubleshoot issues.
Pros Convenient, easy to use, and allows for remote monitoring of appliances.
Cons May not be compatible with all appliances, some features may require a subscription, and may experience occasional connectivity issues.

Comments and Reviews from users:

A Google user: “I had previous problems with this app, but thanks to an update, it is working fine now. I have two Bosch appliances with Home Connect; a clothes dryer and a dishwasher. The "remote activation" feature lets users use their mobile devices to select the program options instead of the screen on the appliance; and can send a notification when completed (users need to activate this feature when loading their Home Connect appliance). The app is nifty, but not really necessary.” – 4/5 in Play Store

A Google user: “The app and method of connection needs work. First, I couldn't complete registration, because I never received the confirmation email and yes, I checked SPAM. Once I actually got the email, after three attempts, the linking process through the app gets stuck at the final step. The appliance says it's connected, but the app fails and asks to retry. I called customer care and they say their closed even though the posted hours say I still had time. I guess we'll leave it for another time.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Comments and Reviews from users:

Brian Mixon: “Asks you to sign in for a better experience, then pops up a browser window to login. After signing in, it keeps you in the pop-up browser and asks you to download the app in the play store. When you close the browser it goes back to the app and asks you to sign in again.” – 2/5 in Play Store

Toby Keller: “It works okay but used to let me use my biometric to login. Now I have to login manually every time. Tried uninstalling and installing again still can't get it to work.” – 3/5 in Play Store

Cons Limited compatibility with older Frigidaire appliances, Occasional connectivity issues, Limited customization options.

Comments and Reviews from users:

Philip Fong: “Still works with my Frigidaire dehumidifier and Frigidaire air conditioner that I bought a few years ago. I see my devices in the new app after (yet another) migration to a completely redesigned app. I find the UX a lot nicer looking and pretty easy to use. There's no "busy" icon/throbber while changing settings which, as a software dev, seems like should be put back. I continue to get very critical notifications like when my bucket is full.” – 5/5 in Play Store

Amber Morales: “I downgraded my review after using this app for 2 days. The app sucks. It's very slow to respond and even if it beeps to acknowledge that you have changed the temp setting, it doesn't actually register. I have it set to eco and the thermostats is reading the temp at 70. I have the temp set at 73 and even though it better when I changed it, the compressor is still running and it's still cooling. So much for eco. It's not intuitive at all and when and if it responds, is very, very slow.” – 2/5 in Play Store
